Sneak Peek: Classic Country Chic Wedding!

This week, we will feature a young groom by the name of Dan Murphy, who is not afraid to be a part of his wedding and seek advice. Dan is looking for the perfect suit to match his perfect bride’s simple yet elegant dress.

Dan and his bride, Abby Youngblood, will say their “I Do’s” in a beautiful garden followed by a reception in a country chic barn.

The B&BT Stylists-Vol. 3

At Boutonnieres & Bow Ties we like to believe all good things come in fours, like a decadent box of four little truffles, which brings us to our final stylist...Abigail Barrett Bloom

Abigail Barrett Bloom, creator of the blog Providence Classic, has worked in the fashion, publishing and event planning fields in New York City and recently moved - by choice! - to Milwaukee (that's in Wisconsin). She loves all things fashion and interior design, and one day hopes to write novels that will be read by more than just her mother.

My personal style:

Classic with a dash of vintage prep and an eye for what's current in fashion - and always with what accentuates my figure in mind. I like to mix basics with a piece or two that reflect what's new in the fashion industry. My staples are pairs of dark jeans, trim-fitting blazers and coats, the white tank, high heels, a great party dress (or five!) and unique jewelry.

Why do I love weddings?

Joyous people and a chance to dress up! There is nothing like the magic of a wedding - your family and friends are there to share in your happiness and celebrate wonderful things for you and your beloved. Thinking of my own wedding will always make me smile. And so will a new pair of high heels!

What do you hope brides (and grooms) will get out of the blog?

9tailors is a super resource for one of the most ignored parts of a wedding - the groom's outfit. And he's one half of the biggest part of the day! This is a great opportunity to see a million different ways your man can look handsome andfashionable. Putting a customized edge on the groom's outfit reflects how special and unique the wedding day is - I mean hello, all the brides are doing it. Here's a chance to give the groom the same attention, but without all the work on your end. And yes, you're welcome. ;)

The B&BT Stylists-Vol. 2

As we've promised, here are our other stylists!

Introducing...Makiko Harris

My personal style:

My "style" is something I am constantly exploring, but in general, I like mixing vintage and modern pieces to discover something completely unique. I think it ends up being a little bit classic and a bit whimsical- never too serious. And on the best days, always some glamour.

Why do I love weddings?

It's a fabulous excuse to wear a fabulous dress!

What do you hope brides (and grooms) will get out of the blog?

I hope readers get inspired and excited. I love it when something- whether is be a random found object or a photograph- gets my mind whirring and I start coming up with all sorts of new ideas. I hope our blog and design boards can do that for you

and... Muchieh Yun

My personal style:

My style tends to fluctuate with the season while remaining city chic! I love shoes and I think they are the best way to make a statement!

Why do I love weddings?

I love weddings because I believe that it is the ultimate celebration of a couple's love. Weddings are an extremely exciting time for both the bride and the groom--the bride is able to enliven her childhood fantasies while the groom is able to embark on a new journey in his life, a journey filled with love, trust and security.

What do you hope brides (and grooms) will get out of the blog?

I hope our readers will enjoy and be inspired by our suggestions and feel less overwhelmed with their wedding plans!

Come back tomorrow to meet our last but not least stylist!

Introducing the B&BT Stylists - Vol. I

Now that we have told you a little bit about our new direction, you're probably asking yourselves, "Who will be putting together the B&BT boards?" Over the next few days, we will introduce you to the Stylists behind our design boards.

Introducing...Samantha Shih

At my bridal shower

My personal style:

I would say that I'm modern and romantic. I love ruffles and any fabrics that flutter. I'm a huge fan of soft, flowing materials such as cotton-silk, silk or chiffon, especially in neutral colors. But, having lived in the city my whole life, I also like things that are streamlined and unfussy.

And, as you can tell from the above picture...I'm also not afraid to be goofy in public.

Why do I love weddings?

Weddings are an expression of one's creativity, personality and style, whether it be flowers, gown, ring, venue, etc. You are given a blank slate; you have the freedom to make major decisions.

What do you hope brides (and grooms) will get out of the blog?

My work at 9tailors allows me to collaborate with many brides and grooms. I feel honored that I get to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. To create something for the bride and groom that is a reflection of their combined tastes and personalities is also an incredible joy.

After having worked with many brides, it became clear to me that their main priority is to create a cohesive look to the wedding. Most importantly, brides want the groom's outfit to complement the bride's gown. However, it can be stressful to shop for the guys....It can be a dizzying array of collars, cuffs, lapels, fabrics, etc. So, my hope is that this blog will help demystify men's fashion and inspire brides and grooms everywhere!

Anyway, come back tomorrow to meet our other B&BT Stylists.

A New Direction

Image via Frolic

After some serious brainstorming and planning, I've decided to take the blog into a new direction. Don't worry. We are still committed to helping brides style their grooms via our design boards. But, instead of posting 1 design board for each bride, we will be posting up to 3 distinct design boards from 3 stylists each week. This means that each bride will get 3 fresh perspectives on their groom's wedding style. Then, the bride and our readers will get to vote on which design board they like the best! This is an aggressive plan. But, we hope to inspire brides (and grooms) everywhere!

If you are a bride and want us to help you style your groom, complete this questionnaire.

We also have a Facebook Page now. Don't forget to fan us!

Come back tomorrow and meet our new B&BT Stylists.
