Debi, from Southern California, wrote to me a few days ago asking me to help her with her wedding. The ceremony and reception will take place on a beach in Carmel, CA. Guests will be greeted by Coronas, wine, rattan mats, star fish and candles. Simple. Beautiful.
Debi will don this ultra-sweet gown from Junko Yoshioro. I love the scalloped edges at the top of dress. Perfect for a beach wedding. She asked me to put together an outfit for her surfing, golfing and hockey playing groom.
Since he spends a lot of time in casual gear (board shorts and t-shirts), her groom will feel most comfortable wearing a casual, yet polished, beach-chic look! I've chosen a gray, cotton suit jacket with off-white linen pants. Underneath the groom can wear a short sleeve, fitted white shirt with a black skinny tie. To protect the groom from the sun, I've paired the suit with a pair of black, retro sunglasses and a straw, Panama hat. Finally, the groom needs shoes! Neutral colored, canvas shoes with a gray, black and white plaid detail at the heel. So cute!
